So I sold my Silvia two weeks ago .

Got $6400 for it which is pretty mean. I paid $7000 for it and pretty much never thrashed it. I also put $500 of new rear brakes in, and $1000 worth of soft compound anti-hydroplane tires on it so it had wicked grip in all conditions, I never once spun it out.

And it had the mean stereo setup, I did all the audio cabling in it, shielded and everything so no engine noise

But alas, losing my license twice in that thing is two times too much so I had to get rid of it.

So sold it to a friends boyfriends brother who had one but crashed it and got insurance so was looking for another one.

So anyway, saw this van on Trademe at like 730pm, rung the dude asked him some questions, told him I’d come down get it that night for $6000 cash. He said yep! So left at like 830pm and missioned it down to Tauranga to pick it up in my mates Hiace.

Got to the guys house, checked it out, all sweet. It’s even painted on the inside! Gave him the cash and gapped it, vanathon back to Auckland. Found out on the way back the lights are shit. I mean shit. High beam is like low beam and low beam is like… park lights.

Trying to keep up with Nick all the way back to Auckland because if I fall behind I won’t be able to see anything. That guy is fast, all through the Paeroa Gorge, and its my first time driving a van.

Anyways, got some spotlights for it, and some bullbars, put my own stereo in it, and now its a bit better.

OK this dream was really fucked up. First of all there’s this massive robot right, and I’m out my parents house with my mum and brother and we are watching out the front door as it grabs parts of houses with its huge hands and there’s people inside. Then it starts coming towards our house. We slam the front door but it can still see us (thermal vision or something) and it grabs part of the house as we run away from the front door, but mum is too slow and it grabs her, amongst the debris from the house killing her.

Then I find out its on an island similar to Lost and there are others and the robot is somehow one of the monsters on the island.

Checked out of the hotel just before. There was a cop checked in cos I saw a surprised valet guy get out of the drivers seat of the cop car he had obviously just parked out front of the hotel.

I can’t believe the internet price though, .68c a minute. They were using getin2net as their provider. The address was get.in2.net but I guess thats just the DNS of their internal proxy server. It had an accept page that you had to go through before it would give you access and it gave unique ID to my laptop. If only I knew the MAC address of the guy next door.

So I should leave hopefully at about 12:30 today and be back my 3 or so. Then I have to drive my bluebird up to Warkworth to drop it off to a guy who’s paying me $900 for it. Need to get a rego for it first.

Pritty shit how I can only get $900 for it though. Thought I could get at least $1500 but with a cracked windscreen and a whining front bearing in the gearbox. Dammit.

Oh well, one more (half) day of company paid meals.

So I’m in Hamiltron at the moment. Working at the SKYCITY down here. Company paid hotel, company paid my gas down here, company paid meals. So awesome. Staying at a nice hotel too, with broadband included in the room I hope. Then I can update my linux cos haven’t got broadband at home yet.

Though I have been informed I can get it now – supposedly the lines have been upgraded. But suddenly every broadband plan is a rip off! I am so sure they were cheaper before, it seems the unbundling has made things more expensive, though I think that was going to happen anyway – I think I remeber something about that.

Only dumb thing about being down here in Hamilton, I get to eat out every night, but I have no one to eat out with. Oh well. This is like a working holiday
