Well, looks like Christmas has rolled around again. I would just like to take this time to remind everyone that Jesus Christ was not born on the 25th of December. He was actually born nearer the middle of the year.

What you are celebrating is actually an ancient pagan ritual called Yule-tide, stolen and renamed by christianity in order to try and get rid of paganism in Northern Europe.

So this year I will be wishing people Happy Yule-tide in protest of this christian bullshit takeover.

HAPPY YULE-TIDE!!

It been a bit long since I posted so I thought I’d just give a quick run through of the past two months.

Two months ago I got made redundant, so the first thing I did was cut a mohawk as in the last entry. Since then its pretty much been a big holiday. I’ve applied for a few jobs. Had an interview at Woosh for 3rd/4th level System Engineer but unfortunately my networking experience wasn’t up to it. That would have been a sweet job. Applied for a 1st level support position at AUT supporting students and staff, but they haven’t contacted me back on them so I’m still looking.

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

Beach Hop: Easter Weekend

Went with Nick and Tesh and Brad and Jess to Beach Hop in Whangamata (Big hot rod show), stayed at nicks uncles and met Shelley down there as well a few other DF locals. Lots of nice cars there something like 70,000 people attended. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the classic car we were going to take going in time so it was another van mission.

Karipito Forest ride: Week before my birthday

Went with Nick and Tesh down to Wellington. Nick had a contact course to do so me and Tesh accompanied him. We stayed at Nick’s mates house in Upper Hutt. Much hilarity ensued. Bas is a fucking crack-up. Me and Tesh bought our bikes, which was a mission fitting a KX80 and a YFZ450 in one van, but we managed it, not without damaging one of the speakers in the van tho.

Ended up going riding in Karipito Forest not far from Upper Hutt with Tesh and Bas. I had my first crash. Came round a corner quite fast and couldn’t stop in time for some concrete blocks serving as a 4WD blockade. Bent my bullbars in quite badly but bike was sweet as, so kept going. Awesome riding. Very scenic with big uphills and big downhills, river crossings, we even rode up a creek at one time. It’s all rocks tho, big chunky limestones.

Wilsons Road trail ride: Weekend after my birthday
After going for a quick cane at the bike park on my birthday I went to a trail ride out in South Head that was 6k farm loop and 50k forest loop. The riding was excellent, forest enduro stuff, and most of it was sand tracks. There was even a track right out the back that I found that was just a huge long sandy straight through the long grass for ages, with little whoops every now and then. I was going full speed all the way along it.. was KICKASS!

LAN Party

Went to a LAN at my mate Jason’s, got a heap of new stuff and played Left4Dead for the first time, and loved it.

Bombing range

I been out the bombing range twice. Once with Shelley from Wilson’s road and once with Iydden from Rimmers. Both times was pretty good, hid the gas and lunch in the bushes and played around. Shelley had a bit of a hard time but it was her first time on sand so can’t blame her. Did a bit of forest riding with Iydden, got surprised by what we thought was a ranger driving down one of the forest tracks, and gapped it ask fast we could. Later we found that they were tourists as they were walking round the dunes.

Server Upgrade

Alkaif very kindly gave me his old server board and processor to use in my file server that died. I now have a nice Gigabyte board with a Athlon 64 3000+ processor and a gig of ram. I also bought a few hard drives and swapped some over with my system so now the server has 3 x 500gigs and 2 x 320gig. I’m currently have 1.1 TB of stuff shared. Probably not much compared to some people but I’m happy with it. Currently I have 3 computers in my room, with dual LCD’s setup on my computer which makes web development a whole lot easier.

Web Development

I have been working on a new site which is very close to being done. It is something I feel very strongly about and hopefully it will help other people become informed. But more on that when I launch it. Unfortunately the Telescum overhaul I was working on fell behind.

I am also currently playing with screen scrapers, spiders and web bots. I am currently scraping information from the web that I can use for at least 2 sites! But more info on that later as well.

Chopper

Went and saw Chopper live at Skycity Theatre during the comedy festival. Was absolute crackup. He was selling wristbands like the WWJD (What would Jesus Do) band you see, but they said on them HARDEN THE FUCK UP. He commented on the WWJD wristbands by saying something like “Hmmm.. what would Jesus do.. in this situation… Well surely, Jesus would just miracle himself the fuck out of there. ‘Argh I’m drowning!’ *flash of light* ‘Not anymore, hahaha!’”

Taupo trip

Went to Taupo on friday with my family to a timeshare down there. Then the next morning me and Mope went up Ruapehu to see the snow. Unfortunately all we found was ice but it looked like snow. We mucked around the moutainside, despite it being freezing as fuck up there. Altimeter said 1433m above sea level. Man I love the cold. Got back in the van, then got back out again to go for another walk.

Trail ride in Woodhill

Unfortunately I leave Taupo on Saturday to go a trail ride yesterday in Woodhill forest. It wasn’t that great. Mostly real tight forest enduro tracks but there was some open stuff where I got my speed up. I went on all the tracks even the highest difficulty. Still tricky as on a quad. Real technical steering and shit have to dodge stumps all the time. My chain fell of twice and I ripped off the plastic swingarm guard which I knew wouldn’t last 2 seconds. Overheard some guys talking and one of them said to his mate “Fuck doing that on a quad.”

And yeah, thats about it. Still looking for a place to live and still looking for jobs. Constantly being turned down for both is getting annoying as fuck though. So many people are looking for jobs. And landlords are completely age-discriminating, don’t want young people living in their houses so we’ve missed out on some real mint places.

A religious man is on top of a roof during a great flood. A man comes by in a boat and says “get in, get in!” The religous man replies, ” no I have faith in God, he will grant me a miracle.”

Later the water is up to his waist and another boat comes by and the guy tells him to get in again. He responds that he has faith in god and god will give him a miracle. With the water at about chest high, another boat comes to rescue him, but he turns down the offer again cause “God will grant him a miracle.”

With the water at chin high, a helicopter throws down a ladder and they tell him to get in. Mumbling with the water in his mouth, he again turns down the request for help, he will put his faith of God. The man drowns. When he arrives at the gates of heaven with broken faith he says to St. Peter, “I thought God would grant me a miracle and I have been let down.” St. Peter chuckles and responds, “I don’t know what you’re complaining about, we sent you three boats and a helicopter.”

This joke in light of some stupid stupid fucks who did faith healing on their infant, instead of taking it to an actual doctor. Now they are saying it was their right to practice their religion so they shouldn’t go to jail.

OMG. I think I just figured it out!

You know how the bible says, blahdy blahdy blah, apocalypse, and then there will be a war to end all wars, in the middle east (gods holy land or some crap).

I don’t really remember it completely but I remember watching the movie “Megiddo: The Omega Code 2” where Satan comes back as this dude and starts a war between all the world armies, and then at the end God/Jesus kills everyone but the allied troops (though I thought in the bible it said he would kill everyone). Supposedly the first one is based off the bible, or with an evangelical outlook.

ANYWAY! I was reading a comment on Digg by KLBP on this story about American fundamentalists being no different than Taliban fundametnalists in which he said:

I used to attend an Assembly of God (same denomination as Sarah Palin) in Alaska (not same church) and yes at least from what I have seen they are as extreme as this article claims. They looked for and found evil and demons (yes demons) active in EVERYTHING they disagreed with. For instance they would preach about EVIL-lution (instead of evolution) corrupting our school systems. There was strong encouragement to only do business with and/or hire other “good” Christians (read members of the fundamentalist right) and to avoid doing business with the unsaved because they were possessed by evil spirits. They are convinced that Armageddon is upon us and God’s judgment is eminent. What is worse, some want to hasten God’s second coming by helping to spur on the war between the Jews and Arabs in the Middle East (I am not saying Sarah Palin is one of these ultra extremists).

When you are inside of this influence you don’t see how crazy it is. Now, however, that I am well removed from such influences and look back at what I saw, I realize just how extreme their views can be. I get a cold shiver up my back about the thought that Sarah Palin and these extreme religious views could be one heart beat away from ruling our country. Religious extremism is a clear and present danger, to our society and our attention on extremists from one of the world’s great religions has caused us to turn a blind eye on extremists from another one of our great religions.

Religion is not our enemy, extremism in all its grotesque forms is our enemy. Just as mainstream Muslims must repudiate and be on guard against Islamic fundamental extremists, Christians must also be on guard against and repudiate Christian fundamental extremists. If not held in check, either extreme could do terrible damage to our freedoms and way of life.

The part in bold is what made me put two and two together.

Maybe, Republicans typically being bible thumpers/war mongerors want war and instability in the Middle East so that Jesus will come back, as phropesized in the bible.

This is dangerous stuff! I mean obviously this war is beneficial to many other people but I have heard it said it is all about religion. Maybe it is? Maybe these fundamentalist religious nutjobs are killing millions of innocents just for their own selfish reasons? Why don’t other christians come out and denounce these whackjobs. If they don’t I am going to start pooling all christians into the same pyschopathic war-mongering group.

This is why I despise religion.

Edit: I don’t despise christians tho, just the republican ones

So, a mate at work came up with this theory of the circle of life. It’s pretty morbid, but it makes a lot of sense for some people, and the world wars.

It’s pretty simple, fear of death leads people to become religion, because they want to “live” even after they die (seems greedy to me we are all lucky to even be alive on this earth).

Religion leads to war (and also directly to death), which is responsible for pretty much all wars in history. And responsible for a lot of death. Even Hitler “spoke of Christianity as a central motivation for his antisemitism.”wiki More people have been killed in the name of God than any other method. God killed over a million people in the bible yet people still think he’s a good dude.

Then of course in any war there is death. Lots of it.

I think maybe if people kept their religions to themselves and didn’t try to convert people we would all be sweet. I have heard many times that like communism and socialism, religion is a good theory, but when you add people into the mix it all goes to shit.

So my mate at work, Jason, is kind of clued up on religious stuff, and was telling me the other night about the new and the old testament.

Apparently the authors of the Old Testament never meant it to be taken literally as a bible, however various people did including Jesus did take it literally. Jesus even says in the new testament “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.” (Matthew 5:17 NAB).

So therefore we should all be killing our disobedient children, anyone who is not christian, and anyone who works on a sunday! Pretty much how they live in the fanatical middle eastern countries.

I swear, the more I read the bible, the more athiest I become. Maybe if christians read the thing they wouldn’t be christians anymore.

I found out recently, that the New Testament is just a bunch of stories about Jesus going round and performing miracles and stuff. Telling everybody to love one another and do unto others as you would have done to yourself and whatnot (which sounds pretty much like the stoner culture to me).

But the stories were written between 45AD and 140AD so imagine how many chinese whispers took place between the actual happening, and the writing. Every time the story is told again, it is exaggerated a little more. So how true are those stories then?

And then I find out that the stories in the New Testament were all hand picked, so only the good ones were included. All the ones that could, I guess, show Jesus in a bad light or not adhere to the agenda of the choosers, were discarded and are called the Gnostic Gospels. There is even one written by Mary Magdalene, Jesus’ missus, which is not included. Of all the stories written about Jesus, you think you’d would want her one in there, right?

I haven’t read the Gnostic Gospels yet, but I think whoever put together the New Testament and the whole Christianity religion has some other agenda. There were many other messiahs around the time of Jesus, and I think their message was simple and clear? Do to others as you would have done to yourself.

If only everyone lived by that. I try to.

I think religion is unnecessary and only serves to control people, and control thought. Plus, God is a cunt. But that is for another post.

Any way you look at it, men run the world. There is no real gender equality. We refer to inanimate object such as cars and countries as “her”. When I talk to my van (I talk to all my cars) I refer to it as a female (like “easy girl” or “good girl”). Lots of people do this. Could this be mild chauvinism? Referring to an object as female? The same thing as objectifying females? Could be subconsciously teaching us to objectify females.

Then there is the thing where you hear kids taunting one another like “Haha, you got beaten by a girl!” and other sayings similar to this.

But where does this come from? I reckon it comes from the bible (Old Testament) and religion (but not Jesus). There are tonnes of references in the bible that degrade women as inferior to men.

For instance in ancient times, naming something asserted your authority over it:

…she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man

– Adam names Eve, Genesis 2:27

Or when the men of Sodom ask Lot to bring out his 2 male guests so that they may “know” (ancient language for gang-rape) them.

I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes.

– Lot allows his daughters to be sexually assaulted by multiple rapists, Genesis 19:8

Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his [male guest's] concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

– A similar event in Judges 19:16-30

A daughter shall inherit nothing from a deceased father unless she has no brother, unless she has no brother:

…If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren. And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren. And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family….

– Moses describes the rules of inheritance that God has stated, Numbers 27:8-11

Of course the old “stone the non-virgin women to death” is in it:

and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you

– describing the treatment of a married woman found not to be a virgin, Deuteronomy 22:13-21

Cool, if I rape a chick I just give her dad $50 and I can marry her. Even if (because I raped her) she doesn’t have feelings for me:

If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife….

– Rape victims made to marry their attackers, Deuteronomy 22:28-29

If you look how religious the middle east is, and look how their women are treated, this should show you how religion wants women to be treated. The middle-eastern and Christian religions are basically the same believe it or not. The only difference is that the western world has a “New Testament” which lets Christians ignore the Old Testament.

This is why religion must be laid to rest.

So I watched the movie Zeitgeist the other night. This documentary about religion and the attacks on the twin towers, war profiteering.

Anyway it was basically saying that all the Christianic, Judaic, and Islamic religions all come from the same religion. I already heard from my old boss that Islam and Christianity used to be side by side, I guess I know what he meant now. Anyway, they are all copied off a myth about the Sun, and 12 apostles, which we now call the Zodiac (star signs anyone). This was the myth in 3000BC Egypt, and it went something like this:

Ages ago there was the Sun and it was called the gods sun called Ra. Every day and every Ra and Set (the dark) would fight. Every morning Ra would win, every evening Set would win. So was the eternal battle of light versus dark (like the theme in the bible). Any there were 12 somethings, Scorpio, Virgo etc, like the 12 Apostles. But yeah, you’ll have to watch it to get the full breakdown. Or you could wiki zodiac and cross reference the main themes/situations with other religions.
