So living at home is going OK. I try not to be there as much as possible so I don’t piss off my parents. Plus I’m kinda nocturnal so if I am there I am quietly playing games in my room, or watching movies.

Unfortunately, Telecom (the bastards) won’t hook up broadband to my house. The say its too far from the exchange to get any signal, however the neighbour has broadband! But the cabling guy told us one more connection on our roadside box will knock everyone off.

So it would seem the box needs upgrading. Every telephone box around our area has been upgraded except ours. So not fair. I can’t even be bothered to put a modem in my PC and run a phone line to my room cos I know 56k will drive me up the wall.

So I just use the net at work when I can. It works, but I really really really wanna play some COD4 online dammit.

So I been playing Race Driver: GRID and Colin Mcrae DiRT (which use the same engine). Amazing, amazing games. Honestly, if you haven’t played them yet, get them. The damage engine is awesome, your car never breaks the same way twice. I rolled my rally car 4 times, ripped all the doors off and landed back on my wheels and kept going. Was mean! And you can actually feel the speed, especially in GRID when you’re racing GT1 and GT2 cars. The drift in grid is also full of awesomeness.

Also, poor Lilley has had a myriad of problems in the UK, from her bank fucking her round to her laptop hard drive dying. Don’t buy Dell and don’t use HSBC for your bank. Hopefully everything has worked out for her now.

Just finishing work now… goodbye broadband

So finally moved out of the flat.

Beau and Nick helped move most of my stuff out the days before, so that was lucky, got rid of two van loads that day. Chucked it all in Nicks dad’s warehouse.

Luckily my mum came and helped us clean or else we would have never got it finished, cos it was only me and Hollie left. Troy didn’t come back to help which sucked, and Joe didn’t help out that much, cos his sister was in hospital but oh well. Had quite a bit of rubbish to get rid of so we went on a midnight rubbish mission and got rid of it in the bins of some petrol stations.

Then we drove back home, got some munchies on the way and were going to take Hollies car back to her mums (its broken and kind of illegal to drive on the road), but realised we had no way to jump the battery. By now its like 1am, so I rang nick to see if we could borrow his jump pack, and we had to drive all the way back out there to get it. But we managed to get and drove the car to her mums without getting pulled over.

Then yesterday was the last day, Nick came round again and we loaded his van up, and then crammed everything else (included rubbish) into my van. I couldn’t believe how much shit I had!

Then we vacuumed the place for the first time since we been there (a year!) and it was cleaner than when we first moved in. Had one last cigarette on the deck with Hollie, and checked out the view for the last time. Was pretty cool, will definitely miss the view. But the house depresses me.

Then we went and unloaded everything at my parents house, and went on another rubbish mission, took her home to her mums, and got home at about 11pm last night.

So exhausted, hardly any sleep the last few nights, up cleaning and moving, surviving only on caffeine. But we did it. Feels good to be back home, living with cats again.

Only took me 30 minutes to get to work today as well
