Brown and Rebecca sunbathed and played guitar while the others played hacky, rugby, and frisbee. Pretty crackup watching them play. Some other dudes had a big slingshot and were trying to shoot this boat that was parked out in the bay with waterbombs. They hit it a few times. The people on board were looking real confused.

Then Marlo dropped us off at the show again, this time there wasn’t any lines, just crank in and find a seat. Couldn’t find Zac and Blake this time cos they didn’t have their phones, and Tess wasn’t there cos her friends boyfriend was too drunk so I guess she ended up babysitting him. Mike didn’t have his phone on him either. So just fucked around between the pit and up in the seats with Dale. Poison were really good, they looked like they were really having fun, really got the crowd going.

As for Whitesnake, I thought they were just going to be like Poison, but they were mean and heavy, and the dude was more enthusiastic than Poison!

Then I met up with Lilley and we stayed in the seats for Ozzy and Zakk Wylde who were FUCKING AWESOME! Seriously, Ozzy still has it (pretty much – he was a bit slow in parts) and Zakk Wyldde is the man. It was like two bands in one, Zakks signature guitar moves, and Ozzy’s signature… voice. And then they played War Pigs, Lilley broke into tears (hardout Ozzy fan!), and Momma I’m Coming Home, and Paranoid. Fuckin RAWK!

After that walked out with Lilley, and she asked when I was going home, which was the next morning at 8am (I think I forgot to mention she was from Upper Hutt). Not much time to hang out at all. Bit of silence, then I asked her what she did for a living, and she said she was a bit of a geek – did webadmin. I was like, FUCKING AWESOME! “Me too.” hahaha.

Anyway, she had to catch the train, which the last one was at 12, and it was 11:45, so she gapped it and I met up with my mates.

We didn’t do much after that, Marley picked us up, and we drove around looking for after parties but none of us really felt like going out so just went back to where we were staying and hit the sack.

Marlo was also nice enough to drop us off at the concert. When we saw the line at the gates to the concert, we were like “Holy Shit!” it was so long. But it started moving pretty quick. This is when I saw the KISS ARMY, in camo pants and singlets, that was a really mean idea.

The others went in by themselves cos they were in the Diamond seating, and I went down to the pit to find my other mates, Zac and Blake. After a bit of confusion about which pit they were in I found them, just in time for Lordi. They were pretty good, though I thought the sound was a bit off. Looks like they get real hot in those costumes. Quite stoked to see them cos I used to be really into them, but I didn’t know most the songs they sang probably cos I only ever had the first album, Get Heavy.

Then Sonic Altar came on, who a couple of my mates know cos they went to our school. I went for a walk and found my mate from BP (Dale), had a chat, and then ran into my other mate from BP (Mike), was pretty cool.

Alice Cooper had a really good stage act. He stabbed a baby with a stake, bashed his missus around, and then got straight jacketed and hung on stage. That’s what I call show! As my mate said tho, the Christians are going to have a big whine about that. He sang Poison and Schools Out and a few others.

Then Symphony of Screams came on who were nice and heavy but didn’t hold my interest much, so I went and found my other friend from BP (BP Bogans), Tess. She was up with her friends boyfriend cos her friend was sick and couldn’t come.

Went back to the pit but then we decided to go sit in the stands. Then KISS came on and everyone pretty much went nuts. I went to get some food and Lilley from the KISS ARMY was sitting next to my seat. Offered her some chips, and had a chat to her and watched the rest of the show. Was pretty good, KISS put on a good show, but I only knew the last two, which got the most applause.

I thought it was funny, and it just shows how lazy us New Zealanders are, when all the bands are up there like “Louder! Make some noise” and everyone is just like “Yeaaahh…” half-assed like. Well, I was anyway lol. Lilley was making quite a bit of noise though hehe…

After that I gave Lilley my number and gapped it out to my mates who were waiting outside, went for a walk through town with all the other bogans. Just a mass of black shirts, beards, and long hair. So cool, you could imagine the newspaper headline eh, “Bogans invade Wellington”!

Anyways, walked around looking for food places, watched a Maori dude try to start a fight with a bouncer, then throw his girlfriend round, and then we caught a taxi home.
