Why are there so many streetlights? I mean seriously, I was driving home last night and there are so many freaking street lights. No wonder the world is running low on resources. I reckon, no, I know, that we would save soooooo much power if we just turned every second one off.

Why do they have so many, does the road need to be that light? Who would be driving at night without headlights?
